NORTHERN 2 VCT (the 'Company')

SHARE ALLOTMENT AND DIRECTOR'S SHARE DEALING

The Company announces that it has issued and allotted 842,400 new ordinary
shares of 5p each, representing approximately 3.68 per cent. of the enlarged
issued share capital of the Company, to various subscribers.  The new shares
were issued at a price of 103p per share.  Application will be made at the
earliest practicable opportunity for admission of the new ordinary shares
issued to the Official List of the London Stock Exchange.

Alastair Conn, a director of the Company, was allotted 8,187 of the new
ordinary shares taking his total holding to 33,187 ordinary shares of 5p each
in the Company, representing 0.15 per cent. of the enlarged issued share
capital.
