Appointment of director

Northern 2 VCT PLC is pleased to announce that at a board meeting held on
4 July 2007, Mr David Gravells was appointed to the board as a non-executive
director with immediate effect.

Mr Gravells is aged 57 and is an experienced entrepreneur with a wide experience
of private equity financed businesses. He has held a number of non-executive
chairmanships and directorships and was previously chairman of the Association
of MBAs. He is currently chairman of the advisory board of Durham Business
School and is chairman of Marston Mills Limited.

There are no further disclosures to be made under paragraph 9.6.13 (1) - (6) 
of the Listing Rules in relation to his appointment.
