Northamber plc ('Northamber' or 'the Company')

Purchase of Own Shares

Northamber announces that on 25 September 2000, the Company purchased 750,000
of its own ordinary shares at 121.5p per share (representing 2.21 per cent of
the Company's issued share capital).

On 11 November 1999 shareholders approved an authority to purchase up to 10
per cent. of the aggregate nominal value of the issued ordinary share capital
of the Company.
