                               Board Appointment

The Board of Northamber plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Reginald F
Heath, age 63, as non-executive Director with immediate effect.

In accordance with paragraph 16.8A(b) of the Listing Rules the Board announces
that Mr Heath will be a member of both the audit and remuneration committee.

Mr Heath has had a long career in motor dealerships and more recently as the
Chairman of MBO Autologic Holdings Plc until 2003 and Chairman of Merchant
Retail Group Plc until 2002. There are no further details to be disclosed in
accordance with paragraph 6.F.2 (a) to (g) of the Listing Rules.
