The Company announces that at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held
today all of the resolutions, as set out in full in the Notice of Meeting
dated 26 April 2001, were duly passed.

The Chairman also announced that the 2000 comparative figure for the valuation
of Santa Maria Foods Inc on page 7 of the Annual Report for the year ended 31
January 2001 and under other unquoted investments on page 12, should be £6,373
and £7,190 respectively.  These figures are stated in thousands.
