North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC ('the Company')

North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC has today (3 July 2007)
made application for the admission to the Official List of the UK Listing
Authority for 994,263 Ordinary Shares of 5p each issued by the Company in
relation to the conversion of 994,263 units of Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock
2013.

Admission of the new securities is expected to be effective on 6 July 2006.

The current issued share capital is 13,780,945 ordinary shares. Upon admission
of the new securities, the new issued share capital will be 14,775,208 ordinary
shares.
