Transaction in Own Shares

EDINBURGH US TRACKER TRUST PLC


On  24  May  2005,  Edinburgh US Tracker Trust plc bought back  50,000  ordinary
shares  for cancellation at an average price of 503 pence per share.   Following
the buy back, there are 82,316,164 ordinary shares in issue.  The share buy-back
will be financed out of the capital reserve.
