                         EDINBURGH US TRACKER TRUST PLC


On 7 September 2006 Edinburgh US Tracker Trust plc bought back 268,281 ordinary
shares for cancellation at an average price of 556.5 pence per share.  Following
the buy back, there are 73,528,242 ordinary shares in issue.  The share buy-back
will be financed out of the capital reserve.
