                              BOARD CHANGE


Nichols plc, the soft drinks, food and foodservice group, announces that David
Garth, Group Human Resources Director, has resigned from the Board and will be 
leaving the Company with immediate effect, to persue other career ambitions.

Commenting, John Nichols Chairman, said:

'The Board would like to thank David for the contribution he has made.  I would
also like to take this opportunity to thank him personally for his work in 
helping to restructure and develop the group and in the establishment of our HQ
training establishment'.
