Notification of Interest in shares

The Company has been notified today that Henderson Global Investors and its
associated companies (acting as agents for its discretionary clients) now hold
(directly and indirectly) 20,208,508 Ordinary Shares of 10p each of Next plc.
These shares represent 6.00% of the issued share capital of 337,040,893.
