Appointment of Director to Board of NewRiver Capital

NewRiver Retail Limited (AIM: NRR), the newly formed specialist commercial property investment and asset management company, today announces the appointment of Nick Sewell to the Board of NewRiver Capital. 

NewRiver Capital is the wholly-owned subsidiary and property manager and adviser of NewRiver Retail. Nick will take up his role of Director at NewRiver Capital on 5 October 2009.

Nick joins NewRiver from CB Richard Ellis, the global commercial property and real estate services advisory group, where he was Director in Retail Capital Markets. With more than 14 years of retail commercial property expertise, specialising in High Street, shopping centre and foodstore investments and responsible for acquisitions, sales, consultancy and portfolio reviews, Nick is ideally qualified to join the existing management team, led by David Lockhart.

The appointment reflects the commitment made last month at the time of admission to AIM to recruit high quality personnel to enable the Company to roll out its business development plan. 

David Lockhart, Director of NewRiver Retail and CEO of New River Capital, said:
