Director's Shareholding


In accordance with Section 324 of the Companies Act 1985, as amended, the
Company has been notified today that Alexander Reid, Non-Executive Director,
purchased 750,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the capital of the Company at
1.0p per share on 13 November 2002. Alexander Reid is now beneficially
interested in 31,858,238 ordinary shares representing 13.90 per cent. of the
enlarged issued share capital of Newmark (assuming full acceptance of  Newmark's
all share offer for Vema N.V).
