               NEWMARK SECURITY PLC ('Newmark' or the 'Company')

                              Allotment of shares

Application has today been made for admission of an additional 600,000 ordinary
shares of 1p each in the Company to trading on AIM. These shares have been
allotted to Vema N.V. GDR holders in relation to the all share offer by Newmark.

The new shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary
shares of the Company. Dealings are expected to commence on AIM on Friday 1
August 2003.
