      JUPITER INVESTMENT TRUST PLC (the 'Company')
                            
            FURTHER ISSUE OF ORDINARY SHARES
                            
The Board today announces that an additional 16,661,222
Ordinary Shares have today been issued as consideration
for the exchange of some of the further loan notes issued
by Commerzbank AG on 30 May 2000. The Ordinary Shares
have been issued to those loan note holders who elected
to exchange their entitlement to loan notes for Ordinary
Shares in the Company under the terms of the initial
Placing on 28 April 2000. The further loan notes
represent the final balance of the consideration due from
Commerzbank AG for the 'A' ordinary shares in Commerz
Asset Management (UK) plc. Dealings in the additional
Ordinary Shares will commence on the London Stock
Exchange on Monday 5 June 2000.
