UPDATE ON LEGAL PROCEDINGS RELATING TO ALLEGED

PATENT INFRINGEMENT

NMT Group PLC announces that the trial related to the claim by Medsafe
Technologies LLC and Syringe Development Partners LLC for alleged patent
infringement, which was scheduled for November 2000, has been rescheduled for
March 2001. The US District Court in Indiana has postponed the trial in order
to consider and rule on several motions, which remain pending.

The Company's position on this matter remains unchanged and the Directors
remain confident that these claims can be successfully defended and will have
no material impact on the business.
