NMT GROUP LTD (the 'COMPANY')

The Company received notification, today, from Phillips and Drew, on behalf of
Phillips and Drew Life Limited, which is a subsidiary of UBS Asset Management
Holding (No.2) Limited, that they have a notifiable interest in 16,164,053
ordinary shares of 5p each, representing 6.90 per cent of the issued share
capital of the Company.
