The Company received notification today 20th July 2000, from The Equitable Life
Assurance Society, that as a result of the Placing and Open Offer of 143,481,001
new ordinary shares of 5p each, they have an interest in 8,175,011 ordinary
shares representing 3.49 per cent of the issued share capital of the Company.
