Notification of Interests of Directors and Connected Persons.

NMT Group PLC were notified on 16 September, 1999 of the following
transactions which took place on that day by Mr John Brian Harford Scanlon, a
director of the Company, and his wife Mrs Thelma Scanlon:-

Mr Scanlon sold 80,000 Ordinary Shares at 125.46875 pence per Share.

Mrs Scanlon sold 3,200 Ordinary Shares at 125.46875 pence per Share.

Namulas Pension Trustees Limited bought 100,000 Ordinary Shares for designated
a/c 10087 (Brian Scanlon personal pension plan) at 125.5 pence per share.

Namulas Pension Trustees Limited bought 100,000 Ordinary Shares for designated
a/c 10088 (Thelma Scanlon personal pension plan) at 125.5 pence per share.

The resultant holdings are as follows:-

Brian Scanlon            400,000 Ordinary Shares (0.64%)
Thelma Scanlon           NIL
Personal Pension Plans   200,000 Ordinary Shares (0.32%)

Aggregate of 600,000 Ordinary Shares (0.95%) held by Brian Scanlon and
interests connected with him.
