Directorate Change

The Company announces the retirement of Claude Lamoureux from its Board of Directors (and from the Board of Northumbrian Water Limited ("NWL")) with effect from 28 July 2011 (the date of NWG's Annual General Meeting). The Company understands Mr Lamoureux's wish to reduce the number of directorships he holds and thanks him for his very valuable contribution over the past four years.

Dr Simon Lyster, a director of NWL since 2006, will join the NWG Board on 1 April 2011.
