with the obligations of 16.4 of the FSA Listing Rules, Jenny Williams has
declared the following:



1.  In relation to other directorships of publicly listed companies
    currently held or held in the last 5 years, that there are none.



2.  In relation to the information required to be disclosed under section
    6.F2 (b) to (g) of the FSA Listing Rules, that there is no such information 
    to be disclosed.



3.  That at the date of her appointment she held no shares in Northumbrian
    Water Group plc.



In relation to his appointment as a director of the Company and in accordance
with the obligations of 16.4 of the FSA Listing Rules, Bernard Guirkinger has
declared the following:



1.  In relation to other directorships of publicly listed companies, currently 
    held or held in the last 5 years, that he is a director of Aguas de
    Barcelona, a company publicly listed in Spain.



2.  In relation to the information required to be disclosed under section 6.F2 
    (b) to (g) of the FSA Listing Rules, that there is no such information to
    be disclosed.



3.  That at the date of his appointment he held no shares in Northumbrian
    Water Group plc.
