Further to the announcement of the interim results on 27th February 2001, the
board of Martin Currie High Income Trust plc confirm that the dividend of
1.75p per share will be paid on the 30 March 2001 to all shareholders on the
register on 9 March 2001.  The ex dividend date is 7 March 2001.
