Mulberry Group PLC 26 November 2002 26 NOVEMBER 2002 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MULBERRY GROUP PLC ('Mulberry' or the 'Company') Mulberry announces that Roger Saul, the founder of Mulberry, has accepted the position of President of Mulberry. He will become a non-executive director. Roger Saul started Mulberry 32 years ago as both designer and entrepreneur. Since then it has grown from the £500 capital he put in to the luxury brand it is today. As part of his plan to build the right management structure for the future he recently divided his role of CEO and Chairman and the search for the new CEO has commenced. After carefully considering the requisition of the EGM called by Challice, Roger Saul has decided under the current circumstances that it is in the best interests of the company that he step down from an executive role. Godfrey Davis, the current Deputy Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Mulberry will become Chairman and Chief Executive. The requisition served on the Company by Challice Limited to remove Roger Saul as a director has been withdrawn. Godfrey Davis commented, 'I am glad that the problem between Challice and Mulberry has been resolved. Roger has done an outstanding job of building Mulberry from scratch and developing the management team. I am delighted that we will continue to benefit from his input on the Board.' A spokesman for Challice commented, 'We are very pleased that this has been resolved. We do not seek control of Mulberry and the restructured management team has our full support'.
