Director's and Substantial Shareholdings

Following a distribution to shareholders of Viewthorpe Ltd, of which Mr. D.M.
Sinclair (Chairman of Mountview) is a director, the number of shares held as
been reduced by 25,000 shares on 21 January 2005. Mr. Sinclair's non-beneficial
holding in the Company is now as follows:

Mr. Sinclair's beneficial holding remains the same.

Mountview has today been notified that the undernoted substantial shareholders
have received additional shares in the Company by way of a dividend at £47.50 on
the record date (21 January 2005).
