                 Disposal of Bhs plc to Measuremarket

At the Extraordinary General Meeting of Storehouse plc held earlier
today, the resolution to approve the disposal of Bhs was passed.
Transfer of Bhs to Measuremarket is expected to take place on 22 May
2000.
