Transparency Rules, it has been advised by Aberdeen Asset Management PLC's Fund
Management Operating Subsidiaries that its holding in the company has increased
and crossed through the 11% threshold to 11.12%.

The number of shares held by Aberdeen Asset Management plc now comprises
9,810,880 ordinary Mothercare plc 50p shares.
