Re: Holding in Company, Aberdeen Asset Management Plc


Mothercare plc announces that, in accordance with the Disclosure and
Transparency Rules, it has been advised by Aberdeen Asset Management PLC that
its holding in the company has crossed the 10% threshold and now comprises
7,627,623 ordinary Mothercare plc 50p shares representing 10.4% of the voting
rights.


Mothercare's issued share capital is 73,293,194 ordinary 50p shares all with
voting rights.
