Mothercare plc announce that Mr Maurice Minzly, the husband of Angela Heylin (a
non-executive director of Mothercare plc) has today purchased 5000 ordinary
Mothercare plc shares at a price of £1.85 per share.

The combined holdings of Angela Heylin and Maurice Minzley amount to 9,451
ordinary shares equivalent to 0.013% of the issued share capital.
