Mothercare plc announce that Mr David Williams, a non-executive director today
purchased through his SIP 3,800 Mothercare ordinary 50p shares at a price of
412.00p per share.


Following this purchase, Mr Williams has an interest in 15,600 Mothercare
ordinary shares equivalent to 0.02% of the issued share capital.


Mothercare's issued share capital is 73,355,313 shares.
