Partnership Homes division awarded c.£250m Ministry of Defence contract

Morgan Sindall Group plc, the construction and regeneration group, is pleased to announce that its Partnership Homes division, trading as Lovell, has been awarded a contract by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) to build more than 900 new homes for troops and their families relocating from Germany to Salisbury Plain, South Wiltshire, as part of the Army Basing Programme ('ABP'). The contract is worth c. £250m in revenues to Lovell, spread over three years.

The contract will see the company construct 917 homes at three sites across Bulford, Larkhill and Ludgershall by May 2020. Work began in spring 2017 to create new roads and other infrastructure critical to this project. Housing construction is due to start in early 2018.

Lovell believes the project will deliver faster construction times than any other UK low-rise homes scheme, with the exception of the previous project delivered by the company for the MOD at Stafford.

John Morgan, Chief Executive of Morgan Sindall, commented:

"We are delighted to have been awarded this contract with the MOD. It is a testament to the strong partnership Lovell has built with the MOD and our track record of delivering high quality housing projects at pace. Our focus now is on delivering best in class homes for the troops and their families."
