                Morgan Sindall awarded £445 million contract to
     complete Scotland's largest road construction project in joint venture


Morgan Sindall's infrastructure services business Morgan Est, as part of an
Interlink joint venture, has been awarded the £445 million M74 completion
project - Scotland's largest ever road construction scheme.

The three-year project, which is worth more than £111 million to Morgan Est,
will see the construction of an 8km six-lane motorway to the south of Glasgow.
It is being funded by Transport Scotland, Glasgow City Council, South
Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire Councils and on completion will provide significant
benefits to transport links through Glasgow and on the M8 to the west of the
Kingston Bridge.

Interlink M74 joint venture partners Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering, Morgan
Est, Morrison Construction and Sir Robert McAlpine worked with Glasgow City
Council and Transport Scotland in an open and collaborative environment
providing a comprehensive cost-effective bid to undertake this complex civil
engineering project. This has included the development of innovative
construction methods and risk mitigation strategies.

The team will now begin the detailed design required, prior to the start of
works in the summer.
