Appointment of Non Executive Director


Morgan Sindall plc announces the appointment today of Gill Barr (46) as a
non-executive director. Gill Barr was formerly Business Development Director of
Woolworth plc. She previously held positions with Kingfisher plc, KPMG and
Freemans plc.

Gill Barr does not presently hold any external directorships.

With effect from today Geraldine Gallacher has resigned as a non-executive
director having been a member of the Board since 24 May 1995.

John Morgan, Chairman of Morgan Sindall plc said:

significant contribution she has made to the Board through a period of rapid
growth of the Group.

I am sure that Gill will bring a similar contribution to the Group's development
and at the same time these changes will preserve the independent director
