SHARE SPLIT AND TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS

At the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 18 July 2018, shareholders approved a resolution for a five for one share split such that each shareholder would receive five shares with a nominal value of 2 pence each for every one share held.  As stated in the latest Annual Report and Financial Statements this share split will not affect the overall value of the Company.

The record date for the share split was the close of trading yesterday.

The shares have the following new security codes with effect from the opening of markets today:

ISIN: GB00BZ1H9L86

SEDOL: BZ1H9L8

The total number of shares with voting rights in Montanaro UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC is 167,379,790.

With immediate effect the above figure (167,379,790) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
