ISSUE OF EQUITY

The Board of Montanaro European Smaller Companies Trust plc announces that on 13 February 2015 the Company sold from treasury 100,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 488.0p per share.

Following this sale the Company's issued share capital consists of 17,448,260 Ordinary Shares with 715,000 shares held in treasury.  The total number of shares with voting rights in the Company is 16,733,260 Ordinary Shares.

The above figure (16,733,260) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Montanaro European Smaller Companies Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
