ON 10 JULY 2000, THE COMPANY PURCHASED FOR CANCELLATION 1,000,000 ORDINARY
SHARES AT A PRICE OF £10.53, BRINGING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF SHARES BOUGHT BACK
TO 11,333,130. THERE REMAINS 66,258,870 SHARES IN ISSUE.
