ON 13 JANUARY 2000, THE COMPANY PURCHASED FOR CANCELLATION 1,000,000 ORDINARY
SHARES AT A PRICE OF 950.00P PER ORDINARY SHARE, BRINGING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF
SHARES BOUGHT BACK TO 3,945,000. THERE REMAINS 73,647,000 SHARES IN ISSUE.
