                  MIDAS INCOME AND GROWTH INVESTMENT TRUST PLC



 On 31 January 2008 Midas Income and Growth Investment Trust PLC bought back
142,500 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 139.5 pence per share.
Following the buy back, there are 44,854,950 ordinary shares in issue. The share
buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
