                  MIDAS INCOME AND GROWTH INVESTMENT TRUST PLC


On 21 January 2008, Midas Income and Growth Investment Trust plc bought back a
further 60,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 141.5 pence per
share. Following the buy back, there are 45,247,450 ordinary shares in issue.
The share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
