Announcement of Interim Dividends
The Company has today declared a second interim dividend in respect of the year
ending 30 April 2006 of 1.38p net (2005 nil) per Ordinary 25p share which will
be payable on 15 June 2006 to Ordinary shareholders on the register on 28 April
2006, provisional ex dividend date 26 April 2006.
In accordance with the intention stated in the C Share Prospectus dated 27
January 2006, the Company has also declared a special dividend in respect of the
period ending 28 April 2006 of 0.75p net (2005 n/a) per C Share of 100p which
will be payable on 15 June 2006 to C Shareholders on the register on 28 April
2006, provisional ex dividend date 26 April 2006. This special dividend
represents the net income that has accrued on the C Share pool of assets up to
the scheduled Conversion Date.
The C Shares are not entitled to the second interim dividend payable to the
Ordinary shareholders. However, on the assumption that the C Shares convert
into New Ordinary shares on 28 April 2006, holders of both classes of shares
will rank pari passu in respect of the dividend for the quarter ending 31 July
2006.
