Mobile Streams' new market initiative in Indonesia

London, United Kingdom - 22 Jan 2019 - Global mobile content retailer, Mobile Streams (AIM:MOS), today announces the imminent launch of its mobile games services in Indonesia.

Mobile Streams has engaged an experienced local consultant to represent their mobilegaming.com services in the largest market for mobile games in Southeast Asia (Newzoo.com) in terms of revenue.

The Indonesian market shares a number of similarities with India: it is the sixth largest country in terms of smartphone users (Newzoo.com) yet smartphone penetration is very low, at approximately 27%. Also, while India's mobile gaming market is the fastest growing in terms of average spend per user, Indonesia's is only just behind (starting from a higher base).

The Directors believe an initial launch with a local partner will facilitate the adoption of a mobile games service with local telecom operators quicker than a direct approach. Additionally, Mobile Streams will also pursue direct agreements with telecom operators.

Simon Buckingham, CEO of Mobile Streams said: "Since the beginning of the financial year, the company has considered a number of markets to complement Latin America and India. We strongly believe that Indonesia, a sizable market with a population of over 250 million, provides the best opportunity to achieve positive results in both the short and long term."
