National Express Group PLC ('NEG') - Voting Rights and Capital

In accordance with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1 we would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 31st March 2009 the issued share capital of NEG consists of 154, 687,284 ordinary shares of 5 pence each with voting rights.  

The total shares in issue remains unchanged since 31st October 2008. Following the sale of 156,312 shares held in treasury and as notified on 10th March 2009, NEG holds 1,668,688 ordinary shares in treasury. Therefore the total number of voting rights in NEG is 153,018,596 ordinary shares of 5 pence each.

The above figure (153,018,596) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, NEG under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
