Increase to Block Listing

Please note that the announcement below amends and replaces the announcement
made on the same subject yesterday under RNS No 9935Y in which the figure which
reads 10,000 below was announced as 10,0000 in error.

The company announces that it has applied to increase its Block Listing by
10,000 Ordinary Shares in relation to the National Express Group 1992 Savings
Related Share Option Scheme and by 1,876,000 Ordinary Shares in relation to the
National Express Group Executive Share Option Scheme.

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange and the UK Listing
Authority and it is anticipated that these shares will be admitted to the
official list and simultaneously admitted to trading on or shortly after
Wednesday, 1 March 2006.
