National Express Group PLC was notified yesterday of the following Directors'
dealings in the Company's ordinary shares of 5p each:

On 20 March 2006 Phil White exercised his options over 67,726 shares, granted on
5 July 2002 at an option price of £5.85 and 169,598 shares, granted on 18 March
2003 at an option price of £3.98.  On 20 March 2006 Mr White sold 237,324 shares
at a price of £9.15.  His total shareholding therefore remains at 165,408 (0.11%
of the issued share capital). Mr White also has options over a further 298,248
shares.

On 20 March 2006 Adam Walker exercised his options over 19,471 shares, granted
on 5 July 2002 at an option price of £5.85 and 75,377 shares, granted on 18
March 2003 at an option price of £3.98.  On 20 March 2006 Mr Walker sold 85,148
shares at a price of £9.15 and retained 9,700 shares.  This increases his total
shareholding from 9,700 to 19,400 (0.01% of the issued share capital).  Mr
Walker also has options over a further 141,904 shares.

On 20 March 2006 Ray O'Toole exercised his options over 44,868 shares, granted
on 5 July 2002 at an option price of £5.85 and 113,065 shares, granted on 18
March 2003 at an option price of £3.98.  On 20 March 2006 Mr O'Toole sold
152,805 shares at a price of £9.15 and retained 5,128 shares.  This increases
his total shareholding from 19,236 to 24,364 (0.02% of the issued share
capital).  Mr O'Toole also has options over a further 184,842 shares.
