Notification of interests of directors and connected persons

The Company was advised today that on 2nd June 2000 the Directors listed below
acquired Shares in the Company at a purchase price of £6.10 per Share.  Their
previous and current share holdings are as follows:

The above shares were acquired through a Profit Sharing Employee Share Ownership
Scheme, which has been approved by the Inland Revenue.  W S Bruce's being by way
of additional shares purchased form the dividends paid by those already held.
