On 22 February 2002 MITIE received notification that CGNU plc, via its
subsidiary Morley Fund Management Limited, has a notifiable interest of
17,297,470 ordinary shares of 2.5p each in MITIE, which according to their
notification represents 6.01% of the issued share capital of MITIE.
