            MITIE Group PLC - Appointment of Non-Executive Director

MITIE Group PLC (MITIE) is pleased to announce that it has today appointed Roger
Matthews as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

Mr Matthews, 52, is currently a Non Executive Chairman for LSL Property Services
PLC and Land of Leather Holdings PLC, and a Senior Non Executive Director for
RHM PLC. Mr Matthews gained extensive experience in food retail and business
services as Group Finance Director for J Sainsbury PLC and Compass Group PLC.

Commenting on the appointment, David Ord, Chairman of MITIE, said:

'I am delighted that Roger will be joining the Board of MITIE. He brings
financial expertise and valuable experience from the public company environment
and the Board are looking forward to working with him.'
