 MITIE appoints Jack Boyer as Non-Executive Director

MITIE Group PLC ("MITIE"), the FTSE250 strategic outsourcing company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jack Boyer as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 June 2013.

The biographical details of Mr Jack Boyer are as follows:

Jack Boyer has served as chairman and chief executive of a range of businesses. A serial entrepreneur, Jack Boyer previously founded and was CEO of companies in engineering, telecommunications and biotechnology. He has been an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and strategy consultant at Bain & Co.

He is currently Chairman of two businesses, Ilika plc and iQur, and a non-executive director of Laird plc. He is also Chairman of Southampton Asset Management and a Council Member of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. Jack was educated at Stanford University (BA), then at the London School of Economics (MSc), and later in his career studied for an MBA at INSEAD.

Jack will add considerable experience to the MITIE Board particularly in relation to his vast experience of building and growing businesses across a number of sectors. Jack will also be a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. It is confirmed that there are no details to be disclosed pursuant to LR 9.6.13 R (1) to (6) and Mr Boyer does not currently hold any shares in the Company.
