MITIE Group PLC ('the Company')

Applications for listing and trading of additional shares

Applications have today been made to the UK Listing Authority for the listing
and to the London Stock Exchange for the admission to trading of 35,000
Ordinary Shares of 2.5p each in MITIE Group PLC pursuant to the acquisition of
shares in a subsidiary of the Company. These new shares, when issued, will
rank pari passu with the Company's existing Ordinary Shares in issue.
Admission is expected to be effected on 4 July 2001.
