TREASURY SHARES

The Company holds a balance of 32,894 Mitchells & Butlers ordinary shares as treasury shares following the exercise of savings related options over 22,466 shares at prices ranging between 169p and 258.5p per share. 

As a result of the above, the number of shares in issue, excluding shares held in treasury is 404,856,409 ordinary shares.
