Possible AGM Resolution

Mitchells & Butlers notes that it has received an enquiry about the possibility of, and the procedure for, adding a new proposal to the AGM agenda. The nominee from whom the enquiry was received stated that it was enquiring on behalf of one of its clients who is the beneficial owner of 84.4m shares, 20.7% of the shares in issue. The draft notice proposed that Raymond MacSharry be appointed as a director of the Company at the AGM to be held on 28 January 2010.
