Pre-Close Trading Update

Yoomedia PLC 26 January 2004 YooMedia plc ('YooMedia' or the 'Company') Pre-Close Trading Update and Notice of Results This announcement is YooMedia's pre-close trading update, ahead of its preliminary results for the year ended 31st December 2003. YooMedia's preliminary results will be announced on 31st March 2004. Following the trading update released with the acquisition of GoPlayTV Limited on 12 December 2003, YooMedia is pleased to announce that its chat and games products on cable platforms and Freeview have performed broadly in line with management expectations. In addition, YooMedia is pleased to inform shareholders that Dateline, the interactive dating service on the Sky Active digital platform and YooPlay on ntl:home were launched last week. The Dateline service, which allows Sky viewers to browse and make matches on Dateline's 35,000 strong database of singles, is a joint venture between YooMedia and Dateline, the UK's oldest-established dating agency. YooPlay launches with the games Solitaire and Tetris, with a regular roll-out of games to follow. This means YooMedia games products are now available on both UK digital cable platforms - Telewest and ntl, reaching more than 2 million homes in aggregate. This completes the roll out of our games service onto all four digital platforms, reaching over 12 million homes. The Dateline agreement was signed in September and the company had hoped that the service would be launched before the end of last year. However due to technical issues beyond the Company's control, the activation of services has been delayed until now. Consequently, as the Company reported on 12 December 2003, there were no revenues from the Dateline product in the 2003 financial year. Therefore YooMedia's 2003 revenues will be less than management expectations, but the directors believe that this will not have a significant impact on the Company's 2003 net result. David Docherty, CEO of YooMedia, said: 'This evidence of our ability to execute - combined with our growing presence on all digital platforms - puts us in a very strong position as 2004 progresses,' he added.
